Great local food. We did not have reservations, but we were seated immediately. I do suggest reservations. Indoor or outdoor seating available. Friendly staff and owners all working hard. German language menu that translate works with, and the staff was happy to fill in the blanks. Good prices.
Nice restaurant in the center of Tulln. The street is quite quiet to have a nice dinner. I could make my non-vegetarian salad vegetarian on request. Service was quick.
Knowing about what Goldenes Schiff means while sipping a nice drink is outstanding. Very very good Schnitzel and awesome Marillenpalatschinken.
I am from America. This is my 4th time visiting the Tulln area with my company. A local introduced me to the Schiff and I've been hooked ever since. Service is EXCELLENT! Food is absolutely DELICIOUS! And the atmosphere is sophisticated but casual at the same time. I will continue to go there every time I visit.
Excellent all round! I was here for dinner as part of a work meeting, so the group was diverse and represented a number of nationalities. The staff were friendly and attentive and willing to accommodate the inevitable bill-splitting that goes with international project meetings!
The food was excellent! There was an exceptionally large choice across starters, mains and deserts, all with a decidedly Austrian focus. There were also excellent choices for vegetarians (all too often, vegetarian options are an afterthought but not here!). There was also an excellent selection of local wines and beers.
The place was recommended to us by an Austrian colleague and I would highly recommend it in turn.
One word of warning: the menu is only in German!
